How long does it take to produce a Giclee Print?

Can I cancel or modify an order after it’s placed?

It depends on when you want to cancel or modify the order. Some orders go into production within an hour after being submitted, but typically you would have about 12-24 hours to change your mind.

What color space do you accept?

We recommend using a standard working space profile such as sRGB, Adobe RGB 1998 or ProPhoto RGB. The Adobe 1998 and ProPhoto color spaces are preferred and offer the widest color gamut for your prints.

What resolution (PPI) should my file be for Fine Art Printing?

We recommend avoiding resizing your image since most resizing software programs including those built into Photoshop aren’t very good and not all photos resize well. The most important factors in determining the quality of your print are not pixels alone but also the quality and size of the camera sensor and how it was edited.

What file type and size do you use for Canvas prints?

We prefer a JPG file for Canvas Prints since it’s far smaller than a TIFF and doesn’t diminish quality, but do allow TIFF. We also accept PDF files.

Do I need to add bleed to my image?

No, we take care of that. During the mounting process, some of the image has to be trimmed away so we add bleed by slightly enlarging the image.

Do you offer Giclee Prints in custom sizes? Large Sizes?

Yes, we can do any size for you down to the 1/4″. The maximum size depends on the product.

 Yes, but there are certain requirements for acrylic face mounting your print. It’s easier to mount your print to any of our other substrates. We need to discuss with you so please contact us about your needs.

How can I check the resolution of my image file?

You can check the resolution of your image file by right-clicking on the file, selecting “Properties” or “Get Info,” and looking for the DPI or PPI (pixels per inch) information.

What color mode should my image be in for high-resolution printing?

Please ensure your image is in the CMYK color mode to ensure accurate color representation in the printed output.

How do I convert my image to CMYK color mode?

Most image editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, allows you to convert the color mode. Look for options like “Image Mode” or “Color Mode” and select CMYK.

Can I use images downloaded from the internet for high-resolution printing?

It’s generally recommended to use high-resolution images specifically designed for printing. Images downloaded from the internet may have low resolution and may not print well at larger sizes.

What should I do if my image has a different aspect ratio than the desired print size?

You can crop your image to match the desired aspect ratio or add a background to fill the extra space. Most image editing software provides tools for cropping and resizing.
